Last weekend I paid for my spot in Belle Maer Harbor on Lake St. Clair at spot C24. I wanted to connect up before I brought the boat out there so we could get to know each other a bit. so I was wondering who on the forums in at Belle Maer and get their opinions on the place and say howdy!

Not sure if you've been on, but lakestclair.net has a bunch of guys that stay at Belle Maer.

I'm across the bay at Island Cove....

I am across the way at Mac Ray Harbor. Both Mac Ray and Belle Maer are great marinas with a great location on the lake. On lazy days you can anchor out in Poor Man's located right out in front of both marins and swim.

To a new boater (me), Poorman's and the area in front of BM looks frickin intimidating with how many boats are packed in there. We end up at Strawberry a lot because its just a 5-10 minute ride over, and there's tons of space in 2-3 feet of water to spread out.

Where there for 6 seasons. It is a very well run marina. We were on L row and had some great neighbors. The staff is great... Have a good time.

We visit several times a season for a few days. It is the best marina as a visitor. Great facilities and close to everything.

Where exactly is strawberry?

Basically due east of the mouth of the Clinton River. Its not really an "island", as its pretty much like a lot of the flats area. There really isnt much of a beach, but the bottom depth is very gradual to shore, and its pretty much all hard sand so its easy anchoring.

Its not very protected, so its subject to weekend chop and of course windy days.

I visited the site but it didn't seem to active (at least not like CSR) but there were loads of resources there that were fantastic. Thanks for the link

I'm only a few marinas over at Beacon Cove.

You are going to love Lake St Clair, Lots of fun places to go and lots of good places to eat

I have spent the last 4 seasons at Belle Maer and loved it. The facility is great and always clean. I have also been at Beacon cove, Jefferson Beach and Miller Marina. This season I moved across the lake to Mayea. Anyway, enjoy Belle Maer!!

I'll be a newbie at Belle Maer this year as well. I will be on Joss row, slip 186. Myself and 3 other boats in our group are going to Belle Maer this year. We all decided to move out of Harbor Club North marina. I'm sure we'll hook up this year.

3 of my friends moved out of harbor club north also but they are coming with me to Mayea. must be alot of available slips over there??

I think also the fact that the weather has been so crappy that people have been slow to find a place. I have a feeling once the cold breaks, there will be a mass influx of boaters filling up slots all around the lake

We have done a trip up to Mac Ray from our home port on Lake Erie - We really liked the Marina and the Restaurant there. We are planning another trip up this year to Sarnia. Would this Marina be a good 1/2point-Does it offer transient slips?Pool? etc.

The do offer transient slips and have a pool. Mac Ray is right next door. The transient rate is $1.50/linear Foot. It's best to make reservations. and here's the page for the forms and info lol you would think I work there but I don't. I'm just super excited to be there.
