My boat started taking on water

This is an old 1985 Mid Cabin Cruiser. It started taking on water while riding, filling the reservoir up front at the bottom of the steps. I removed the cover to visualize it and the bilge works fine fortunately!
I assume water is coming in through the hull in one or more fine cracks... Wondering how or what is the best way to seal those fine cracks?

Did you have water in the engine room as well? Generally the transom is the most likely place for water to come in. I'd start by checking the drive, plug, swim platform attachment points, etc before looking for small cracks elsewhere...

Are you positive it wasn't a freshwater leak or the shower sump sloshing underway?
