Here is a pic of my new 82 project boat! There is a ton of work to do. First and foremost, will be to insure that there is no motor or outdrive damage from not being winterized. That is the biggest question so far. Supposedly the drive train is good. If not, real work will have to begin ASAP! LOL!

She looks like a classic! Really nice lines. Cant wait to see some updated photos when the big stuff is finished and you get the gel coat to sparkle again!

Thanks a lot! I was going to post some more pics today of all the work to be done. Then on down the road would have some before and after comparisons. However, this weather system is dumping way to much rain for that. On a much brighter note, I did get a chance to go out and verify that it had been winterized at some point. I opened all the drains and did not get enough water out to alarmed. Maybe a cup or so from the port side drain cock on the block. There is still a chance it could have damaged something if it were frozen, but highly unlikely. I will be keeping you guys posted!!!!!

    Jeff,

What engine do you have? 260 hp? 228 hp?

    Hey Ghuskin,
It is the 228. I wish it were a 260, but believe I should have plenty of power with the 228. What is your opinion? My primary use will be cruizing with some tubing or skiing...

No, the only two days without rain or snow I have had to work! When the weather breaks I will be posting a complete set. Di you do the upholstery work yourself or have a shop do it? A buddy of mine is trying to convince me that I can do it myself. I am still undecided on that one.

I did it myself. I used the old covers as patters and used an air staple gun w/stainless staples and knocked it out. That was just for the seat covers. I am now going to do the back rest and then recover the ceiling and walls. I heard that can be hard but I think with a strong adhesive it shouldn't be too hard. I guess I will find out.
