We purchased the boat in 2013 off of craigslist from a lady that lost her husband and needed to sale it. I had a 25' 1978 bay liner Saratoga hard top and a 17.5' crestliner in the back yard, my wife said NO you are not getting another dam boat (lol) I told her let's just go and see it. It was on craigslist for a month for 8000.00 it most likely junk. So we went and seen it and it was in great shape except for the starboard engine was nocking when cold. (Sezied piston). My wife step on board and told me to buy it. It is that clean. I offered her 7,000.00 on the account of the engine and the fact it had 500+ hrs on her. Sold my bay liner to my son for 5,000.00 that paid for the engines overhaul that I did my self with all hp parts. (Takedown and built in the boat). I'm a mechanic and fabricator so I've been working on this boat ever since we purchased it just to improve on it top speed of 32 miles per hour buy GPS at 4000 RPM.
Now for the top I found it on Facebook a man needed to have a boat removed on his property willing to pay a thousand dollars to have it hauled off I had a trailer built for my boats and the permits and wide load signs to haul it. It was the sun deck model and 2 years newer so I took all the teak and the brass out of it and the sun deck then scrap the rest of it I have not seen another with the sun deck on it lot more room on the bridge 5 feet to be exact. In The Last 5 Years i have rework the bottom overhauled Engines new zf 63 transmissions new longer shafts 4 blade dqx props 7.5 Kohler on demand gen set, (flathead 4 cylinder) 2500 watt inverter in the counter 2 burner induction cooktop.
Led lighting, 3 starting batterys, 4 house batterys, hds7, hds9 Lawrence fish and GPS fruno 2 watt 36 mile radar. It's my labor of love. My business is seasonal so in the winter I go out for weeks at a time sturgeon fishing and crabbing shark fishing it's a very comfortable boat.

She actually handles much better. I can turn at high speed now, before I had to bow up on the trim one side or the other to turn otherwise she would lay over. Very deep V hull. The top is from the same make and model sea ray it was a option.
