muffler

Hello all I really need some help. I just purchased a 1985 340 sedan bridge and I am in dire need of a starboard muffler. Can someone please help me either find one, where I can look, who I can call, a part number etc. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to need more than just the muffler if I had to guess.

If you search this forum for "water lift" mufflers you will find a handful of threads that reference the sources for cans like that and some of the related parts. You're in the right place...

Centek Marine should be able to help - they probably cant look up "1985 340 muffler" but I bet they can help you through the process of measuring it and matching it up with something they offer

That can probably be fixed with Fiberglass tape/cloth and epoxy resin by anyone experienced in working with those things.

It would help to remove it and take it to a qualified shop. It doesn’t need to be beautiful, but the OD of the part that the hose goes on needs to remain in spec.

You have to take it out anyway so you have nothing to lose here.

All of that grey gunk will have to be ground off to get a handle on what’s really going on, but a good repair and paint job might be the way to go.
