my starboard side muffler is leaking per a mechanic i hired to fix tsomething else. i am in ca and the boat is in fla. i will be at the boat in about 6 weeks. From what i have been reading on this site, it seems most likely that the drain screw is the cause of the leak. in order to prepare for the fix, can someone tell me what side the drain screw is on? can i repair without pulling the muffler? someone suggested using permatex gasket maker. do you pull the screw, replace it and coat it with permatex?
