Muffler for Kohler 7.3E Generator

I just purchased a 2004 39 Sundancer and very much need to improve noise control of the Kohler 7.3E gasoline generator. At present it has the original standard Centek #1601345 muffler which is virtually useless (maybe broken or worn out?). I can find lots of replacement mufflers online that will fit but can find no information as to their effectiveness or compatibility with the generator. Any recommendations/suggestions would be most appreciated.

Call Centek directly, they can help you get the right solution. I upgraded to a dual stage, that helped a lot, but you can also get water separating if thats important.

I put a second muffler on my generator because the noise level was terrible......I regret not doing it sooner. If you have room for another that could be an option.
