Does anyone know what the magic solution is for running thru MPI engines for winter. I know its stabilizer and two cycle oil ? I dont know what the mixture was though. I may have to do this myself this year. I have a friend who usually does it and is a boat mechanic, but he seems to be busy this year, on a personal level. I should of wrote it down on the SRO board :smt021 Thanks Brian

Every merc engine manula has the recipe in the engine fogging section, so just pull yours out.

MPI's really should be fogged using the injectors by feeding the fogging mix thru the fuel pump and injectors.

As an alternative to fogging, West Marine sells a fuel stabilizer they claim eliminates the need to fog your engine. I have not used it myself but you may want to look into that.

Seems quite impossible to me. The point of fogginf is introducing raw oil into the cumbustion chamber to kind of pickle the top end. Any fuel additive that would do that would cause a lot of carbon build up ... might as well dump some Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank ... some people swear on ATF in the tank too ...

I don't fog my engines ... ever ...
