Just scroll down to where the list starts and right before the list it will give you the rating of where protection and then find your oil you don't have to read at all but he tests this independently he's paid by nobody he's a drag racer and an engineer

I have a 2006 5.0 mpi. Looking at oil today they list 25 40 for outboards. The only oil for stern drive is sierra. I want quicksilver 25 40 is the outboard motor oil the same. I don't see a difference if it is a 4 stroke. So why do they say outboard 4 stroke and not stern drive. Thanks. It actually says outboard oil

Mercruiser sterndrives use 25w40. Its been that way for eons.

I have 4 Mercury 4-stroke outboards, from 3.5 HP to 150. All 4 call for Mercury or Quicksilver 10w30.
