I'm looking at an inflatable RIB for tender duties and to tow a biscuit or board around etc. My chidlren are young and light but i expect I might want the occassional blast weighing at 85 kg.

I'm considering looking at a 3.4 meter RIB and the recommended max HP is 25. Anyone know if this will do the job? What are other Searayians using?

Thanks in advance

I am not a searayian yet, but I use a Malibu Response tournament ski boat with a 325 HP Indmar. Seems to have enough power sorry, I suppose that does not help at all....

I have a 12.5 foot Zodiac with soft bottom and plywood floor with a 20 Merc 2 stroke. With 3 adults 600 pounds it will do 20 knots with me in it it will do 24 knots. A RIB probably would do better. Do not think you could pull a water skier with it but tube maybe. Keep looking at RIB but they are heavy unless you get aluminium. A sot bottom is no good for rocky beaches.

My friend Ben has pulled his kids with a 9.9 and they will plane off and do 15 mph. If you have a 25 it certainly will pull one or even two kids at a time depending on their weight and type of tube.

I knew a guy who skied behind a 40 but 25 is kinda small unless the skier is 50 lbs.
