im pretty sure my coupler went last week... shored the boat but am yet to look and see what happened.... sounded like a rod knock before it let loose... then when she let loose the motor reved sounded great.... and wouldn't go anywhere.... coupler??? or outdrive>??? The reason I started this one is if it is the coupler I have to remove the engine... its a 228 v8(chevy 305) and I know my 74 ray 240 weekender had the option for a 350... if I put the 350 in and do some performance upgrades you think the transom will handle it??? I was thinking stock 350 with maybe a cam/intake upgrade... let me know what you think... ideas are always helpful??? im redoing the whole boat over the winter... if were doing the interior/exterior why not freshing up the engine/out drive??
