More undercover global warming pictures.

We will exist like all before and all after. When we are gone then what difference does it make? Lake Erie was a dead lake at one time now it thrives again. Science broke it then science fixed it. My faith system tell me one thing yours tells you something else on how this deal will end.

I love these pinheads that predict the end and the means by which it will happen.
Are you calling me a pinhead?

And what say ye about the videos? I'm curious.

Haven't had the time to look at them, honestly. Life is busy. However, I assume that the same thing will happen when I look at them as would happen when you looked at any I chose to dig up and send your way.

The core of the matter is that I tend to believe peer-reviewed research, especially when it is well supported and accepted in the field of study. That doesn't mean that something won't come along to turn it on it's head someday, but until then, it's the best we have.

There are those here (probably a majority) who have decided that climate scientists are running a scam. Any evidence I chose to provide would come from climate scientists. Since you have already said you don't believe what they tell you, why should I spend my time to try to dig up some gem that isn't going to change your mind anyway?

And I'm sorry, Four Suns, if you feel I took your comments out of context and turned them into "corrupt and nefarious", but I don't see how any other conclusion can be reached based on your statements. Corrupt is defined as "having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain", which is exactly how you described the vast majority of researchers in the field of climate science. Nefarious was actually redundant, since it's generally recognized as "wicked or criminal".

However, you say that the 97% who support man-made climate change are all lying to us, or at the very least participating in the lie by turning a blind eye and just going along so they can feed at the trough. You say they are doing it for money. That's a collectively coordinated fraud, and it sounds pretty much like you believe they are corrupt to me. I just don't believe that. Yeah, there are bad actors in every batch, but when you are dealing with climatologists, geologists, oceanographers, and pretty much everyone else involved in climate studies, then you are painting with a pretty broad brush.

My ideology is "Science works, overall", while yours appears to be "They are all lying". I'm not really in this to change your mind on that, but I'm sick of seeing this stuff flow by unchallenged, so occasionally I'll tilt at the odd windmill. I have no illusions about the demographics of this site, and I know that my viewpoint will be dismissed out of hand by the majority of the participants here. Don't really care.

Well then... I saw this play a few years ago... You should too:

From what I'm finding it appears the GW peer-reviewed research has been turned on its head, thus the new CC phrase.
There has not been anything posted as a direct challenge from the GW/CC supporters, just a bunch of talk about science and peer-reviewed research with nothing shown.
Please provide a supporting "gem" for review that clearly shows humans are the cause for GW/CC, I would like to watch or listen with an open mind.

As Gary points out, the bits of research that support GW, has been cherry picked. Meaning, there is as much research that doesn't support as well as does.

So then, how do you justify owning two boats? one probably needing a nice big truck to tow around. If man is creating global warming, you are probably in the top 1% of warmers. Right up there with Gore. Or is it "other" people causing all the warming?

SRC, since you are taking on the part of true believer, what steps are you personally taking to save the world as we know it? Or are you just one of those that wants the government to make us all do what you believe? It is the height of human arrogance to think we can actually affect the earth that much.

MM

Nor have the believers shared the steps they have taken to save the planet. If one truly believes this and they do nothing personal to save their families future they are despicable. If one talks the talk, they must walk the walk to be credible.

...And one caveat, activism and forcing others to do as you wish is NOT doing something personal, something personal means personal sacrifice.

He has been asked again and again wth no response to explain what he is doing to save the earth...

I think it's pretty crazy that this "science" can't be correctly modeled by anyone touting it as fact. "The law of gravity says that when I throw this ball it will... oh wait, why didn't it fall... well the law is still correct... just can't explain why it doesn't work". And it hasn't worked since it was introduced. Of course a broken clock is correct 2 times a day, doesn't mean it works though. In order for it to be a sound theory, it has to work, all the time, and we can predict things with it, accurately, consistently. GW doesn't meet any of these and never has.

Look what Washington has just provided for us today:
https://www.data.gov/climate/

For the record, I believe GW/CC is nothing more than a cycle that this world has been going through since its beginning.

+1 on that statement

Are you calling me a pinhead?

Sorry for the late reply Woodyman but I've "been under the weather" last couple days. Don't know if it's GW/CC or the end time catching up with me.
BTW I would never call you a pinhead. There are so many more colorful words we can use on each other.:smt043:smt043

I had not seen that before. How true it is in our religious world today. Just believe cause the Pope, Bishop, Preacher, TV evangelist or whoever said to. Organized religion today offers very little in the support of it's own validity.

I choose to serve a God who said to prove him. That's right, it's OK to question him and even be irreligious when religion is wrong. I would rather be called a Christ follower than a christian. My faith is about me and God. My faith says I should tell you about him when the time is correct. Not while ambushing you on some street corner with a megaphone.
I also think there is a time to talk and a time to shut up and that time to shut up on this topic is now.

As I just stated, Science broke Lake Erie (industrial waste and such) and science fixed it (better pollution control and filtering techniques). So I think there is a real balance that we need to strike. I'm sure that no one here is saying all science is corrupt or that we may have not been wrong on a position (I just conceded that my use of hypothesis was incorrect due to your post.)

We are saying that there are way to many studies both for and against to warrant the constant political attack on our daily freedoms and economics under EPA and the clean water act.

You don't think the Clean Clean Water Act had anything to do with cleaning up Lake Erie??

Absolutely they did but like many agencies and policies that are controlled by the government, they have been used for political over reach. Don't build a pond on your property cause EPA will tear it down cause you didn't get a dam building permit or have the army corp of engineers and environmental impact studies done.

EPA agents carrying guns. Whats that all about. We have enough officers carrying do we really need the EPA to carry? EPA agents are accompanied by law enforcement when doing an investigation or bust.

WOW what one comment at the bottom of a post can create. After 109 post this tread has touched left and right, GW/CC, religion, politics, NASA, and many other topics.

Every entry has been a learning experience for me. Thanks to everyone for posting your honest opinions and perceptions.
I also want to thank everyone for keeping it civil.
