In March when my boat was on the hard, we had a monthly average temperature of 70 degrees. Now that it is April, the weather has turned to ****. Here is the forecast for Port Clinton, OH this weekend.

Friday Night: A slight chance of rain after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. East wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 43. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: A chance of rain before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54.

I want boating weather!

You and me both brother! Thank god for reverse cycle heat! Oh well we will just have to make the best of it... I have a sea trial to go on tomorrow atleast it will be a good base line to see how she takes the rough waters?

We still need to get together for a beverage sometime?

Pete,
Man do I feel your frustration. at least you guys are in the water! They pulled my boat from storage on April 2nd, and it's been nasty ever since. Every time I've planned a weekend to work on it, the weather has turned to complete crap and I've had to cancel my visit. my original plan was to to work all april on the boat and launch early May but I haven't gotten a anything done! so my schedule has slid by an entire month!!!:smt013 I'm going up this weekend to work on the thing, I'll be packing an awning and all the rain gear I can to stay dry and I don't care how miserable it is, I'm not leaving that boat till I cross something off my list.
I've decided to rewrite the classic Ryme about april showers:
"F May and it's freaking flowers, I'd much rather have an April with no damn showers"

Jason, absolutely we'll get together for a BEvERage or two. We aren't going up this weekend, definitely next weekend. We have a wedding and graduations to go to in the next month and a half and that is really screwing up my boating.

Greg, I feel your pain brother. We spent Easter weekend working on the boat to get it ready to launch but the Marina yard wasn't working. Miserable weather the following weekend, so we finally got to launch the boat this past Saturday. I also love your new version of the rhyme. I do believe it is T-shirt worthy.

Greg, LMAO... I agree def t-shirt material...lol

Sounds good... yep, I am doing pretty well so far with no set conflicts with boating season(so far)... Sounds great to me Pete!

That weather forecast looks a lot like ours. 43 for a high Saturday here in Minneapolis too, 34 for a low with a chance of snow. What the?!?! Come on now! Even for us in Minneapolis, that is cold for this time of year. Our avg high this time of year is more like 62.

Yup, us too. I hate this, March was so unbelievable and yet April has been BELOW average. April, you suck.
Then again, every spring since obummer was elected has sucked. Coincidence? I think not.

+1. I knew it was his fault!!!!!

Sorry guys but it will be 88 and sunshine down here. Just sayin?

Yep, the weather is very confused. From WOODTV 8 forecast desk:
April is going to end up cooler than March for the first time since 1907, but the month will still end up a little bit warmer than average. We had 10 days reach 70 degrees in March and only one day in April.

Why did I launch on March 30 again?

Our marina doesn't officially open till May 1. Water and pump out not till May 15 so it didn't pay to get excited during the nice March weather anyway.

At least I'm working in the barn and so far so good, Port Clinton area weather has not been that bad. The next weekend might be my last to work on stuff as they may come and take me away the following weekend. Instead of going in the water here its being loaded on an 18 wheeler and heading south:smt043But not that far south, just to the Ohio R. Jason I will give you a call Saturday to see about lending a hand on the lines. Engines tuned, Battery cables replaced, Alternator back on, bottom painted, radar arch stripped so it can be removed, starting on the buffing and waxing next.

I've quit listening to the weather forecasts, it doesn't do any good. The weather does what it wants. The forecasters are successful, at best, 50% of the time which is slightly better than the best baseball hitters! They seem to be most accurate on the weekdays and, if they're wrong, it's when they predict good weather on the weekends! Go figure!

We have a cold front moving through so this weekend will be wet and windy. Next weekend our club has a cruise planned about 15 miles up the Snake River and it's supposed to hit the high 80's to low 90's with zero percent chance of rain.

Been in 4 weeks last time went out a week ago sunday 90 degreese to day 52 and cold off ocean for high.
