Coming back from Dale Hollow Lake the route takes us up 127 North to home in Frankfort Kentucky. We cross over the Wolf Creek Dam for Lake Cumberland. I stopped to eat dinner at the pull off before the dam and the full moon was rising while it was still light out. I took some photos, here are a couple.

We had a great vacation 10 years ago at Lake Cumberland - rented a 70' houseboat at Grider Hill Dock, brought our 21' Malibu Skier, and each of the 3 kids brought a friend - what a fun week - for a houseboat vacation!

I understand they've had to lower Lake Cumberland 40' due to problems with the Wolf Creek Dam - hope they get it fixed soon.

Yes, they have lowered the water level to make repairs to the dam. They did lower it around 50' I believe. Had to strengthen the earthen part of the dam. Drilling some holes and pumping concrete in as I understand it.

As of this morning 6:30 my time the moon will have another crater as our 2 ton bomb hits the moon looking for water. WTF are we doing.

You know I saw the headlines and just read a very short article on this. I have to agree what are we doing???? I don't fully understand the benefits we are attempting to gain from doing this. Look's like a wild experiment someone at NASA came up with on a whim and it somehow got funded!!!!

Who knows! I just hope we hit it!!! Sure would suck to spend all that time and money and miss!!!:smt043
