Romo is really good as far as game smarts goes - yes, give him a chance.

 

I've listened to him since he was 18 when his dad got him into the radio booth during a Cardinals game and then walked out for 3 innings leaving Joe on his own. That was on the 100,000 watt flagship station. Somebody thinks he's good, networks keep paying him tons of money to be their top play by play guy. I don't know Joe, although I know people who do. I just think he's a good announcer. It is a tough job, especially on a national level and I think he is one of the best.

But some people just like to hate. Look at all the shit being heaped on Al Michaels because he wasn't "excited enough" at the end of the Jags' game. Whatever. Haters hate. Players play. Hater....

 

Romo is ok but he talks too much about meaningless stuff. If he keeps going down that path he is in danger of becoming Chris Conninsworth - No man has ever used so many word to say so little.

 

As a Cowboy fan I prefer him as a commentator than as a quarterback.

Romo is 10 levels below Buck or Michaels. But he is an analyst and not play by play. Distinctly different jobs. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion...
