Just purchased a '96 330 Sundancer, anyone care to give me any feedback on fuel qty. gauge accuracy? How about best power settings compared to cruise speed. Thx, Mark Evans / "Plane 2 Sea"

Welcome Mark,

We have a 1997 with carb 7.4L engines. If you have the same and I believe your fuel tankage is similar to mine.

Fuel = 225 gals. One tank is 115 and one is 110 I think. I forget which one is smaller at the moment I believe its the port one i think

I have 4 blade props on our boat, believe the standard is 3 blade. We cruise at 24K at 3250 RPM. That is about a 28-30 gph consumption.

I find the guage to be as accurate as my car which is not the most accurate but fairly close.

The boat needs to run with some tabs to keep the bow down. She gets up on plane quick with the tabs full down, but I don't know what is better to plane with no tabs or with tabs.. NOT sure

Enjoy the boat!

Tom, thx for the info. I appreciate it. I'll get back to you after we put a few gallons through the 'dancer. We boat in Traverse City, MI, N. West corner of Lake Michigan.
