I am going to the show this year. This will be my first time going to a show like this. Since I am a Midwest lake boater, the biggest boat shows I have been to in the past would be either the St. Louis or Tulsa show. Should I purchase tickets in advance? Or buy a the gate? I have always purchased at the gate (or had free tickets). I have also found out, there is a yacht show going on at the same time. Are there mainly brokered boats at the yacht show and new boats at the MIBS?

I am looking forward to warm weather and sunshine.

Go Chiefs!

You will enjoy. Night and day difference with regional shows like Tulsa or St. Louis.

Be ready to walk a lot - the show is huge.

I have always bought tickets online so I am not standing in line.

Have fun - like Disney world for boaters.

You will find several locations and there's a free shuttle bus that runs between each of them on a continuing basis.

Disney World for boaters is an understatement. Wear comfortable shoes. The indoor show is HUGE and there's stuff there that you won't see elsewhere.

Keep in mind the "Miami Boat Show" (on Virginia Key) and "Yacht Show" (One Herald Plaza) are different events, so you'll need a ticket for each.

Luckily, my brokers and/or dealers (both boat and not illegal substances, for the record) reach out and offer me tickets, but I guess that's the same as buying online. If you 100% know you're going, I don't see a reason to not buy in advance.

In the past, I've done a SpotHero garage around Bayfront Park, and then I took the water taxi over to Virginia Key. This saves a lot of headache, and it's far more enjoyable than sitting in traffic on a bridge.

Put on sunscreen. Last year, it was sunny and high 70s. I wore a tank top, and my shoulders were as red as a fire engine.

Are there mainly brokered boats at yacht show and new boats at MIBS? We are staying in a hotel close to Bayfront park, so we can walk there and catch the water taxi.
