Metro Beach Boat Show

I went last year and thought it was so-so. Definitely not as large as Cedar Point or Michigan City in water shows.

well, My son and I took a ride there via water. Didn't look like a big show. some boats on land, some in the water. Hopefully the Detroit Show will be better.

Anyway, the ride there was great, weather great! Good time for the two of us.
After dinner ar Crew's Inn, the wind was out of the S.E. and we had a fun ride back in the dark!

Learned that I need to get a GPS that has a screen that is illuminated. The one that came with the boat was useless. Luckily I knew where I was going.

Last winter, I made my first trip to the Detroit Boat Show. It seemed that there were a lot of pontoon boats at that show. (Don't know the reason.)

For the past 35 years, I have attended the Cleveland Boat Show held in January at the I-X Center near the Cleveland airport. It seems that the Cleveland show was bigger and had some larger boats. You can probably get details (size, # of boats, etc.) from their websites.

If you can make the trip down in January, I would consider the Cleveland Show.

It's not even October and we're already talking about this winter's boat shows!

Casey,

Yeah, it is pretty pathetic! Pulling my boat out saturday.

The fall will be busy w/ my son's lacrosse, as well as waterfowl hunting. Trying to rid the planet of as many geese as possible!

Now that you mention it, the detroit show did seem a little sparse! I'll try to make it down to Cleveland for their show. Thank you!

Gregg
