Mermaid M6

Hello all, I am new to the forum and have a question. I just purchased a 1995 Sea Ray Sundancer 250, and I am looking to install a Mermaid M6 A/C unit in it. Does anyone have any experience doing this, or any tips for me. From what I know about the boat, it has never had an A/C unit on the vessel. Is there anything that I am going to have to do special with the boat, as far as parts are concerned, such as changing things out to work with an A/C. Thank you in advance all!

We have 3 Mermaid units on our boat, they run 24/7. Newest is at least 5 yrs old, only issue was a control box went bad on one unit, they sent another one that day. I also have a friend that installed one on his boat last year and would not cool the the boat. It was sent back to Mermaid, they said there was nothing wrong with it. We knew there was, so he told them to keep it and refund his money, which they did. Hope this helps about Mermaid.

Go here talk to Tom http://www.flagshipmarine.com I have 2 units from him. Not one problem and easy to install . I did one on a 81 260.
