Mercruiser 4.3 engine oil level??

yes, I do have a 185 and in the spring, once in the water i will make sure the oil level is spot on

mine reads quite a bit higher on the trailer. Once in the water and tipping back it reads lower. Do you find yours does the same? Do you think you are about 5 quarts once adding in the spring? Thanks

I did add a little once this spring. I cant be sure how much I added though. I always run it at the house before i go out and check the oil then, so I rarely check it in the water, but now that you've got me thinking about it I will take notice.

I don't currently own a V6 to tell you. Have in the past... but have also worked on A LOT of them.
