I upgraded to the new Vesselview 7 so I have my systemview screen and wiring (to the J-box). It operates good and screen is in good shape. I am looking for $450 plus shipping. Please PM me and I can send pics.

I also have the Mercury NMEA2000 Gateway Part #8M0065208 that allows you to push the engine info out from the Smartcraft system to your NMEA2000 network and get the info onto your MFD. Works great, I used it to push the info to my Raymarine E95. The new Vesselview has a NMEA2000 connection built in so no need for the gateway anymore. I paid $370 last spring. I would like to get $200 plus shipping.

Photobucket link added. See first post.

Thanks

I don't know a lot about the mechanics of the system, but I recall reading that different versions of your items were compatable with only certain engine serial numbers. Mine may be too old. I just sent an e-mail to my mechanic to investigate for me. If it works I am interested.

Obviously, if you can sell it, do so.

As long as you have ECM555 engines you should be fine with the SC5000. I think the compatibility issues you are thinking of come in with some of the 1st gen ECM555 ( 2004ish-down Small Block) and Vessel View, not SC5000. As far as I know SC5000 is compatible with all ECM555 and PCM555 Merc Engines. To be sure, you can call Merc with your serial number and they can quickly tell you.

PM me if you need the serial number off the unit for further investigation

I will take $400 before I try to sell it elsewhere.

Thanks

I have the monochrome version for Cummins QSBs. Any idea if the display is compatable?

I think this is the same display as the one you have. It came off a 2005 as well.

I spoke with Mercury and the guy was very informative. He couldn't tell me definitively that your system is compatible with my diesels. He said that he has had 03's work, but some 05's and 06's would not. He said that the best thing to do is buy it and try it. If it communicates great, if not, then return it or sell it...that part wasn't much help. At least I know it "might" work

Do you still have the gateway?

Is this SmartCraft SC5000 still available? I would like to obtain as soon as possible. Terry Turner

Better Yet, I would appreciate you calling me at 239-898-9589. Tks - Terry Turner

My stupidity caused me to go with the newer VV. I'm sure it's a great system (albeit brand specific...boo!) but the install I have leaves lots to be desired. I have two electronics professionals ( read their bread and butter) looking at the install and presenting bids for a re-do. More to follow.
