Boy that sure looks like you fun. Thanks for posting the pictures. For those of us that could not make it out this weekend it helps us live vicariously through your pictures. Keep them coming.

Great pictures Todd. Not many of us can compete with that scenery but I bet your water wasn't too warm. We were swimming in our lake yesterday........the water temperature was 82 degrees.

Well Dave, the kids and Admiral went swimming. It was about 75 or so air temp and the water temp, (I checked with my GPS) was 51.

And what appears to be a teenager on the cell phone rather than enjoying a day on the boat!

wow...good pics..glad you had a good weekend.I will photoshop some better scenery in my future pic posts.

I got out on Saturday for a few hrs, then my gf joined me on Sunday and we had a blast, Sat. was mid-60's air, 51 water, Sunday, was mid 70's air, 55 water (top 2', below that, 51 or so). The lake was almost glass on Sunday, and very few folks out on it, mostly fishermen, saw maybe 20-30 boats.

On Friday, I was going to go out, then this storm blew in, with huge rainfall and hail. I was actually out in the boat, getting it ready in the garage, when it hit. Just as it hit, I got a call from the guy that had bought my boat, and he was having problems starting it the first time. I walked him thru that, and got him started (he didn't know how to choke it, and it hadn't been started in a couple months). I called him a couple hours later to see how his outing went, and he said that unfortunately, the rain hit where they were just as they put the boat in the water, so they didn't get to go out, and brought it right back onto the trailer.

Saturday, I launched alone, and it was white caps with 15-30 mph winds from the north/west, so I went to an eastern island shore on the lake to launch, where I knew it'd be calm. I was the only one there at the time, so, I pulled down the ramp to the water... just as I'm starting to take off the canvas, and get things ready. (it takes a while doing all this alone, don't cha know.) I noticed a vehicle pulling down the driveway to the access area, so I jumped in the truck, and pulled up to a parking spot, so they'd have access to the ramp. As I'm parking, I look at the vehicle, and omg, it's the boat I just sold! LOL I'd never met the guy that bought it, we'd only talked on the phone, and over email, or via his Brother-in-Law, who came and went over the boat for him with me. He lives in Boston, and his wife's family lives near where I was launching, but, on the west side of the island. But, with the whitecaps, they decided to launch on the eastern side too, and this was their first time out on the boat as a family. They were pulling it with a van, which brings it's own set of issues. (the hitch being to low the first item, so they flipped the bar, and swapped the ball, so it gave it a lift, not a drop, so the trailer didn't drag). We introduced ourselves, and then he introd'd his wife/kids. This access area has a very slow slope into the water, which they found was an issue with the van. They couldn't get the boat in far enough to float it. I offered to hook it up to my truck, so they could launch. Then, I told them, when they get back, they'd not be able to float it on, but would have to winch it up. They were ok for that, so I launched them, and I asked if they could wait, and hold my boat for me while I parked my truck/trailer. They said they could. So, off we went! I thought later, I should have got pics of my old boat driving off into the distance, but it was to late! Quite the coincidence! I'll probably see them again at some point in the future!

A pic from Saturday, looking north into Canada off in the far distance.

Anyhow, I launched in my normal access point on Sunday with the gf, since the lake was glass. It was gorgeous out. We stopped out in the middle of the lake so I could jump in, and swim a bit. Then we headed up for a cruise around some of the islands.

Here's a pic of the south end of an island bay we were in, with some loons off on a point nearby.
