MD boating restrictions

Does anyone know the restrictions as far as driving in and out of the state. I'm in Pa so i will have to pass thru Delaware also. My boat is in Rock Hall and i would like to spend a few days on it even if I can't take it out

I sent this to Gov. Hogan...

As a Republican, I was appalled by your decision to shutdown recreational boating in Maryland waters. As a citizen of Virginia, I feel that I am being unjustly disenfranchised as I have no power in the decision as to whether or not you hold office. Think of it like "taxation without representation". I suppose that inane decisions like these are what a Republican has to do in order to gain favor with Democrats in Maryland. In further trying to gain favor with Democrats, not extending the recreational boating ban to kayakers and paddle-boarders makes about as much sense as adding fifteen extra choices for gender on a form. I just don't get it. The one positive that may come out of this is that Virginia will take back its rightful half of the Potomac River. Let's see how Marylanders would like that! Perhaps that is a decision whose time has come. And just to keep it fair, maybe Virginia will close the Chesapeake Bay north of a a line from Cape Charles Town, VA to Mobjack Bay. Seems fair to me.

(If you've read this far, rest assured that this is all in jest and was more of an exercise to relieve frustration)

DC apparently hasn't figured out that it has marinas or it could be the water that they sit on belongs to the US Park Service. Either way....we still are boating and running up and down the river. I'm sure it is a venue issue. Maryland has river rights south of the 14th street bridge and DC/National Park Service has them from the 14th street bridge to Chain Bridge. North of Chain Bridge it reverts back to Maryland.

So I just wave as we drive by their police boats.:)

I've been sending the same correspondence daily and finally got a form letter response. I'm still sending. Was at the boat yesterday to perform "essential maintenance" (plugs and wires). Yes I know that's not essential but with the winds lately I DID check lines to "prevent the loss of or damage". I'm getting really sick of this.

Can I perform checks and maintenance on a vessel at a marina?

People can travel between homes or residences to perform essential maintenance. That would include a marine vessel if it is used as a home or residence, or if the essential maintenance seeks to prevent the loss of or damage to one’s property. Individuals should check with the marina before traveling as many have reduced hours or suspended service during the pandemic.
