May he rest in peace - Dominic (OSD9)

Some got real nervous and put on the adult life vests.

All made it home safe and had a drink in celebration to Gary's failed bet.

He sure seems to be a heck of a good person and it's easy to understand the sadness his family and friends share. RIP Captain.

I am starting to think that Dom really liked yellow based on his shirt selection. You guys were lucky to have had the pleasure of his company.

Hey btw were you guys going sky diving and when I'm a licensed jumper maybe I'll stop by and do a memorial jump

Dom was going to try skydiving with his daughter.

passing it along.

On behalf of Dominic, we have set up a memorial page on the Brain Aneursym Foundation website. Attached is the link to help donate money to raise awareness and to discover new treatments and preventative measures for such a devastating illness in his name. We will always love him and remember him. Please pass this email on to friends of Dominic, for we don't have all the email address of everyone. For Dom http://bafound.donorpages.com/Memorial/FrancineBieri/

Thank you,
Linda, Francine, Tara and of course Pitzy.

RIP Dominic. Only met him once while anchored at Pine Beach on the Toms River. He noticed my CSR Burgee flying and motored over to introduce himself. A real gentleman.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Dom through the CSR forum and his many contributions. Just through that, this is a very sad loss for all of us as "internet friends" and I am sure, much greater for those who had the distinct pleasure of interacting with Dom, live and in person - the stories and pictures paint an incredible person, full of life, compasion and fun.

May Dom rest in peace and may his family and friends find peace and comfort during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

It was a very nice service and the get together at Dom and Linda's place was wonderful. Not sure this is a good way to do a get together though...

Despite the circumstances, it was great to see everyone today. Dom had told Linda to have a big sendoff when he goes, and she did. The mood was pretty upbeat - more of a celebration of a life than mourning of a death. He would have it no other way.

Everyone made it a special day for the family.

I was unable to get down there for the service, but, as Rick said, would like to thank those that could make it. My wife and I were there in spirit....

Although we never met Dom personally, the postings here are a great testament to an obviously well liked and well respected gentleman. Unfortunately, these calibre of people are in short supply today and he will obviously be missed tremendously. Our sincere condolances to his family and to all his friends. May he rest in peace.

Mike, Ron, Gary....thanks guys. We gathered at the mothership the same weekend you guys helped Linda. We were all together as Dom was with us in Knoxville as well as we were with you in Jersey.

People are not gone until they are forgotten.........Our friend Mr. Dominic Annunziata will be around a lot longer than a lot of us still standing and it's all because of the man he was.

Did not miss you Dom, because you were with us the entire time.

On a Personal Note it's said "you can Judge a Man by the Number of True Friends he Has", in this case Dom was truly a "Rich Man". I want to thank All the Members of this Community and BHSCA for making this "Event" as bitter as it was a less painful time for my Wife and I. In Dom we saw Snippet's of my Deceased Father-in-Law, my wife's first Love and my Best Friend!! Linda we wish you nothing but Love and in time it'll get easier but know that you have a lot of shoulders to hang on to and we will Never Forget!

Later....Dom!

Sorry I am late to get this notice. I am so saddened by this thread that I am truly at a loss for words. I met Dom back at my first Sea Ray meet in AC in 2008/9? Dom was a character! He ribbed me for attending the Sea Ray event even though I didn't have a Sea Ray, but he welcomed my wife and me on his boat to check the salon and the engine room. He even gave me the low down on his dingy davits. I remember Dom laying in his dingy sideways and running around the marina all the while he was puffing on a cigar. You had to see it. Funny as hell! We even smoked Mike's cigars and drank someone's whiskey that night. Good times. This year has been horrible for people passing unexpectedly. I think this is about the 6th person I know that passed prior to 70 years old this year. It really makes you appreciate what you have and makes you aware of how much more you need to appreciate the simple things in life. It makes you want to call your loved ones up and tell them how much they mean to you. It's events like this that make you realize that you can lose someone important to you overnight. My prayers go out to Dom's family. May you rest in peace Dom.

Doug
