As much as Tim runs his boat, I don't think he or his family will want to idle 9 miles out/in every weekend.
Sorry man! She don't go any slower than 4 knots. I've only been to HMI once, so I'm guessing this was Aquapalooza 2008? That whole place was one big wake! That's why we left and ain't been back. No offense, just not my cup of tea. Oh, and I probably was trying to get a closer look. That's the risk you take when putting those blonds up there!
We're here on the Bodkin (creek). Sitting here watching my ice eater run thru the window. George&C.J.
Yes, typically people open it up once they're past the no wake zone. The Sassafras does widen a bit another two miles or so, so sometimes we have to throttle back in that area if there's a lot of wake from other traffic.
Now that's what I wanted to hear! Otherwise Marylou lied to me when we were looking at the place. See you in the Spring.
That's alright, Tim. I saved the drink, and the blondes didn't go anywhere... '08 sounds about right.
Is there an Aquapalooza every year? If so, does anyone know when or where it will be? Or do I just look for a bunch of rafted up Sea Rays?
Hey, we're on Kent Island, but have friends down on Tilghman and go there often. Maybe we'll see you this year. Merry New Year! Peter
We'll look for you! We often hang out their as well. Be carefull when the wind blows hard. It a very soft bottom and we have dragged during last years bigger storms. Otherwise a great spot. You can easily dingy over to Lankford Bay from there for ice and other provisions. The ship's store is extremely well stocked.
When we were at SkipJack, we used Outstanding Marine (410) 275-1200. They are absolutely what their name is - outstanding! Tell Rhonda and Skip I said hello.
I'm at Tilghman on the Chesapeake, new to boating but would love to get to know other Sea Ray folks. I'm going nuts waiting for spring. Spend my time reading charts and planning trips. Right at the moment Solomons Island, Smith Island and the C&D canal are on my list.
Hey and welcome. Im at great oak landing marina at Fairlee cr. ( aka) jellyfish joles. E-217 along the bulk head near the travel lift. the cold ones r waiting
