I have what I assume is the original thermostat on the original MarineAir 16000 BTU system. It’s the standard 3 knob style. From what I can tell after a season and a half of use is it basically has 2 settings, off and on. The Start mode does nothing, have to turn it to On to get it to pump or run. The fan speed doesn’t change and the temp is always cold and doesn’t shut off no matter how cold it gets in the cabin. For what it’s worth, it will run great for hours on end and freeze you out of the cabin at night.

Does it sound like each of the 3 controls are bad or is it a wiring issue? Is there a replacement t-stat available that any one would recommend? Or anyone have a used one for sale?

Sorry, posting on my phone and can’t seem to edit or rotate photos.

I have the same one and basically your right ! I have found a the spot that the Admiral is happy with and what i can live with and just leave it there. I'm told we can up grade to a digital one for about $ 300.00 i never looked in to it. :D lol

We had one of the 3 knobs on ours. I sprayed all switches with tuner cleaner and started rotating them back and forth quickly. Never had an issue after that. I think they dont get moved that much an get sticky spots in them.

Thanks guys. I wish I could find a good setting but it’s all or nothing. I’ll try cleaning them and see if it helps.
