Hi guys I could use your expertise:
1994 Sundancer, Marine Air Systems 9000 BTU heat/air with electronic ECU control.
Late last year the keypad went nuts so I entered the self diagnostic mode and it came up with "bad power button". So I said self this is an easy fix - ordered $200 replacement control, 4 screws, 1 cable and voila right - wrong.
Turned the breaker on this weekend and the display shows a solid "8" in the first digit position, fan is cycling on and off in about 5 second intervals, pump is not running, compressor is not running and not a single button on the display is responding. I have verified that all fuses are good (changed them to be safe), and wiring connections are all tight and clean. I cannot even get the ECU to go into self test mode.
Is my brand new controller bad?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff
