Not the basketball type...Although that's fun too....I'm talking "boats going in the water" type of March madness....

Finally, after a long wait, March is here...boat delivery date is March 30....OR SOONER..

Hey and what is even nicer is that in just 9 more days, Saturday March 10th it's "Spring Forward" day. Yep, we get a extra hour in the evening!!!! :smt038 :smt038 :smt038 :smt038 :smt038

No march madness for me! The President of the University of Cincinnati has put the basketball program in such a mess it may be a few years before we see a tournament basketball game! I'll be looking forward to spring break in Florida starting 3/30 and then getting the boat out of storage upon my return!

Our lakes are in the mid 40's, The Puget sounds is high 40's to low 50's now......but we just got 4 inches of snow yesterday afternoon.......so much for de-winterizing :smt021

March 11.

Were we supposed to stop boating between some date and March?

Can somone refresh my memory of what winterization is?

:smt043

Seriously though... I am happy for everyone getting back in the water... we are looking forward to getting out as well. Working way to much lately has cut heavily into boating time. :smt021

Brent, don't cut into my optimisism. :smt021

It ain't March 11'th till I wake up the next morning, which means I get to set my alarm clock to 12:00 midnight when I go to bed at 11:00 on Saturday.

Ok. Now I AM jeoulous! Our drystack doesn't open until May 1. Since my boat is outdoors on a ground level rack, I'll be waxin' and putzin' before then.

As for water temp, what is it when there are warnings of ice jam flooding?

Tomorrow (Friday) I get to see the boat for the first time. Although she will be in a nasty "fresh off the truck" state. Delivery is set for March 15th. Two more weeks until I get to experience those "thundering towers of torque" or whatever the phrase is.

Unable to sleep...

Make sure you take some pics and post them! New boats....Ohhh im jealous! Best of luck with her!

MAKC- Based on your boat's name "serenity now", it looks like we might have the same taste in TV shows.

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

lol you know it! And the boat name always makes for good conversation when we go to different Marinas and meet new people. A buddy of mine wants to name his boat "Insanity Later" and get the slip to the right of mine. Imagine THAT! :)

Been working on the boat religiously 1/2 day on Fridays and all day Saturday. New marina doesn't open until May 1, but convinced the owner of the yard where we are at to drop on the 15 of April and I can use his seawall to venture out on Lake Michigan's Southern end for those few days.
Only 44 more snowy/icy/rainy days. But heck I'm indoors at 60+ degrees and getting stuff done!
Crank up the Jimmy B tunes and crack open a cold one.
