Does anybody know the manufacturer (I believe Groco) of the water intake scoops on my 480DB? They are used on many Sea Ray models thru many years. Last time the boat was pulled, I noticed that needed replacement IE: slotted fins missing. It was a short haul and didn't have time to do it. Would like to have on hand before next haul. The Sea Ray part number is 186502
Thanks, Chris

Not it. Intake size is 2.5" and it's the scoop only. I lost the rough measurements I wrote down when it was hauled, but I believe it was something like 5.5" by 8". That is a guess, could be way off.

I believe you're correct that it is a Groco piece. http://www.groco.net/strnrs.htm Page down to the "SC" strainers and click on that.

It should be the 2500 series. You can probably just google the part number to find a place to buy it.

I just looked up your part number - it returned this picture. You already know this, but just for a reassurance :smt001

Dennis, Thanks, already saw that page but can't reference the sea ray part# over to Groco. Probably going to call Sea Ray on Monday and see if they will give me the cross reference pt. #. If I didn't loose the measurements, I would not have been in this predicament. You are correct on the 2500 series being the closest to what I think they measured and matches the intake size. Thanks, Happy new Year.

Yeah, the Sea Ray part numbers are completely internal. There is no correlation between them and the manufacturer's part number. Nothing else I have access to right now tells me if it's hi-flow or not. However, looking at the picture, above, and the pictures on Groco's website... it does "appear" to be a hi-flow version based on the thinner ribs.
