magnesium pencil anodes for diesel 3116

So here are the correct Aluminum P/Ns and sizes for 3126's and Westerbeke 7.6 BTD Generators from Performance Metals:

AE-0A – 3/8”Diam x 2 ½” long x 5/16-18 UNC
AE-0 – 3/8” Diam x 1 ¾” long x 5/16-18 UNC
AE-1E – ½” Diam x ½” long x 3/8-16 UNC
A6L3104 – 3/8” Diam x 1 ½” long x ¼-20 UNC

Installed my new anodes and unfortunately the smaller 3/8 inch did not fit into the brass plug. The threaded end was too large. Not sure if they sent the wrong unc or if I ordered the wrong size. So you guys need to double check the size. I now have 18 pieces of the wrong size. When I go back up to the boat in a week or two I will compare what I ordered to what I received and let you know what the problem is.

I had the same problem - wrong threads. I called Rae, she sent me a return UPS label, and they redid them in a week. Great service. They had the specs wrong on some of them. They now have the correct specs.

Give her a quick call and she'll do the same for you.

Ken (Humph) - If you ordered any, yours are probably wrong also. I posted the correct thread sizes above for our engines.

Andy - I'm not sure what your 3116 takes, I know it is less than a 3126. The only ones that fit out of my original order were the trans cooler (AE-1E's). They have fixed the rest...

They were re-delivered today with the threads correctly machined...great service from them on correcting their mistake...

Andy - Hope it all went well on the return. They re-machined mine and in a week I had them back. I also ordered an aluminum transom anode and two pairs of pancake anodes for my tabs. P/Ns are HYYA (for the large hull anode) and R3750A (for a pair of 3 3/4" pancake anodes - order two pair.

Humph - did yours fit?

I just sent mine back today. Thanks for the info on the other anodes. I had not even thought about them. Will call them tomorrew
and order.
