New to me 290 DA 1998

Depth gauge is not even turning on. I see a rocker switch on the dash that I assume provides power to the gauge but mine appears dead. I opened the lower panel and I don't see a fuse for it specifically but I pushed all of them in anyway.

How should I go about trouble shooting this?

I would check to make sure power is getting to and from the switch.

Unfortunately mine actually is dying a slow death as well.

I didn't get meaningful voltage at the switch and it does not light up when flipped to the on position. Where do I go now?

Interesting. if nothing has 12v wonder if there's a fuse or breaker somewhere.

BTW that switch looks cooked or is it just a bad picture?

Switch appears ok to me, prior to taking the pic I removed a sticker that was on the side of the switch, perhaps that's what your seeing as cooked.
