I have a Lowrance 3400 depth finder installed that still works but the dash display is too fogged to read it. Since the boat is already in the water I am hoping to find a replacement guage or a newer model that will work with the existing transducer. Lowrance has been no help. Because its a discontinued model they have no parts.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
paul

I'm not sure what year you have.

Try crossing with a 3500 series.

Pxhil,

You need to figure out what the frequency of the transducer operates on. As for the Lowrance 3500, I had problems with ours last year and discovered Lowrance no longer makes anything compatible with the 3500, nor sells parts for the 3500. I went with all new Raymarine transducer and data display.

hi guys, I have a 3500 but it looses the SHAL, DEEP and Alarm buzzer settings when it is switched off, have to reprogram it every time i start the engine, is this normal?, does it not have any internal battery or ROM

From the lowrance 3500 manual.
The 3500 can use any Lowrance 192 kHz transducer with gray connectors.
For the best performance, we recommend a transducer with a narrow
(8°) cone angle. See your transducer owner's manual for installation
instructions.

Most newer units use 200kHz transducers.

Also my unit does not hold the settings on power down either.

That's the crux of the problem, 192 kHz transducers are no longer supported, and Lowrance can/will not repair a 3500 display unit.

Yep Totally agree finding a display that works with a 192 kHz ducer is not going to be easy. I figured he needed to know what he needed to look for.

From the LEI extras web site the 192 kHz existing ducer works with these models of eagle and lowrance units: 1240A, 3400, 3500, Accura, Fish I.D., Fish I.D. II, Fish I.D. II Plus, Fish I.D. Plus, LMS-150, LMS-150 GPS, LMS-200, LMS-300, LMS-300 GPS, LMS-350, LMS-350A, Magna, Magna II, Magna II Plus, Magna Plus, SeaView 2000, Supra I.D., Ultra, Ultra II, Ultra II Plus, Ultra Plus, UltraNav, UltraNav II, X-16 (gray), X-20, X-20A, X-22, X-25, X-35, X-55, X-60, X-70, X-70A, Z-9000, Z-9500, Z-9500, Z-9500 GPS.

Not sure if any of these will fit the hole in your dash.

Checked Flounder Pounder and they have a 3800 but it works with a 200kHz.

This site is such a great resource for a new Sea Ray owner like me!!
Thank you all.
