Hey team,

2008 Amberjack 290 with V Drives 350s. replaced all 3 batteries with appropriate AGMs. Port engine will alarm on Master ignition turn on. Isolated all batteries, voltage is good on all, charging unit is charging all 3. Replaced all 5 amp fuzzes, as well as the connectors. Checked pin connectors and 50 amp main on Port engine. All good. Engine will start and then show good voltage on alternator, but not on battery only, or shore power.
I removed the genset a few years ago, after thousands of dollars and headaches. That battery runs large cabin house items, but lower “house loads” such as Simrad MFD Mac/fish finder, A/P are off the left (port) battery. Again, voltage on isolated battery is 12.5, but when Port Master is turned on, SmartCraft shows 10.1 and alarms. With engine running, I get proper voltage and all the systems work. But just tied up in the slip, those items don’t work. I do have an aftermarket voltage meter/USB where the 12 volt plug is on the dash, and it is showing 12.5.

couple of questions. 1 Where is the pickoff for the SmartCraft? 2. It is obviously not powering the dashboard loads, so is there a junction/bus from the port battery to those items? 3. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,
