Lake of The Ozark Boaters

I'm thinking of dragging the lil' (blowed up) Ray up to our place on Lake of the Ozarks. I think I can work on repowering the "Texas Belle" while still being able to use the other boat. It should be fun.

It'll be really fun when I get the SeaRay running. Nothing like running a 20' boat on LOTO.

Any other LOTO boaters on the board?

I'm still waiting to see if the 5.0 on the SeaRay is terminal.

If it is, I still am trying to figure out if it's better to repower the "TX Belle" here or at LOTO. It could be fun having both boats up there, but it would probably cost a couple hundred more in gas towing the lil' Ray and all of my tools.

It may just be cheaper repowering the Ray down here.:smt101

I should retitle this "DaNinja's LOTO thread".

Time to wrap up some loose ends here in Texas and head up to LOTO.

It sounds like the lake levels are up enough and the debris isn't anything like last year. :smt038

The SeaRay is staying parked in Texas until I get back to get her repowered.

So the wife wanted to take her family out on the lake on Saturday. No problem, we'll leave early while it's calm and cooler.

Yeah right.:smt009

After a five hour delay, I finally get everyone aboard in the middle of the afternoon. The wife wanted to turn around before we even left the cove.

Nothin' doing...you want to experience the LOTO washing machine darling, here it comes. I think she'll listen to me the next time she wants to go out on the deckboat on a LOTO weekend afternoon. Did I mention that it was Aquapalooza Saturday?

I bet you are in the dog house now!!:lol:

Oh she stewed for a bit, but she knew better than to start with me since she knew I had, "I told you so", on my side.

I also did save the day when the boat died as we tried to leave the swim spot for home. It was "Captain Ninja" to the rescue with a rapid fuel/water separator swap. It pays to carry some common parts on board with the tools to remove/install them.

The FIL was quiet impressed and now his daughter also knows how to perform that very simple fix.

Any LOTO boaters with plans for The Shootout?
It's going to be quite a showing this year!

I'll be at the Shootout. Will be staying on a boat at Captain Ron's.
Off all week!!!!!!

Wow! I'm surprised this thread is still on the first page since it was pretty much just my LOTO blog.

I think my Lil' Ray is going to LOTO next Summer, motor or not.

I am going to the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout this summer. Just made my slip reservations. We're staying in a cove directly across the lake from Captain Ron's. This will be my 3rd year there, but 1st time with just the guys. My wife will be staying home. Sound like trouble? I think so!

I'm surprised there are so few LOTO boaters here in the forum. Sea Ray is probably one of the most popular boats here.

I agree. I have been dormant on the CSR site for awhile but have started poking around again. I always check the local pages for comments, but rarely see anything. There are a ton of Sea Ray boats at the LOTO.

Count me in as a LOTO boater. My grandparents moved into a retirement home last summer. Me, my sister and husband just bought a 2002 Sea Ray 290 Bowrider. We're having our lift installed the end of the month. Can't wait! I have been coming down to the Ozarks since I was a kid to visit my grandparents, but always felt a little restricted since it was their house, boat, etc. We really haven't fully explored the Lake. That's going to change soon!

I was also wondering were all the LOTO boaters are on this forum. You're right, there are a ton of Sea Ray's there.

I know someone who just sold a 290. I wonder if you bought it from them. What part of the lake will you be boating on?

Any SR owners have any experience or keep their boat at the Formula Dealer (Formula Boats of MO)?
