Was on way home after short run and when coming off plain lost SmartCraft System View readings and gauges on Stbd engine. Seems to have lost connection or something. Engine kept running and responding to throttle, but no gauges at all.
Shut down motor and recycled to start and gauges came back up as normal. This is first time this happened. Any of you ever experienced this and if so, discover the cause?
Thanks.

i had the same issue on my 2005 280 twin 5.0 bravo 3's i put some dielectric grease on both of my blue smartcraft cables in engine room and behind gauges and every plug i could find in engine room and issue never came back....hope this helps you...

Agreed. Definitely sounds like a loose and/or corroded connection. Clean the connections before you apply the grease. Then reconnect and make sure everything locks into place.

Engine beep and we lost SmartCraft System View readings and gauges on starboard engine. Engine kept running and responding to throttle, but no gauges. This was an intermittent problem but now it happened all the way to Newport. Took 2 hours when it should have taken 1.

Will give that a try, certainly shouldn't hurt anything. Thanks

Thanks for your post.
We are having the same issue. just trying to find out if the grease worked?
Any info would be appreciated.

No - the di electric grease did not make a difference. The issue actually went away for a while but then came back. So chasing it again.
