are sea ray seats standard bolt patterns to allow aftermarket seat replacement? I'm really looking to just add a bolster to helm seat. 1998 215 EC , any ideas appreciated

Guess I’m just wondering if Sea Ray bases accept the standard aftermarket stuff. I don’t have a pedestal base - just the molded box. Not even sure how my seat attaches

I googled your boat but don't see how you'd be able to install a pedestal seat? Your helm seat cushions are mounted to a molded base, correct?
On every boat I've owned before the one I have now I've used a throwable life preserver folded in half as a bolster while driving. They even make white ones for those concerned with aesthetics

Yes a molded base. Maybe the seat bottom is available with a bolster. I assume the helm seat bottom is bolted to the molded base and is replaceable. Maybe not? Guess I’m asking aren’t they attached to the molded base the same way they’d attach to a pedestal base?

Any ideas on adding seats behind the helm and copilot sears on a 1998 215?

not a bad idea - thanks; i do need to add a cooler - the original one that fits behind copilot is long gone..
