I may have posted my questions in the wrong Forum earlier so I will try here,....

We removed the 240DA from our list and replaced it with a 270DA. We are now searching for a 260DA or 270DA.
I am not too familiar with the 7.4 engine package but we really like the cockpit and cabin layout in the 270. This particular 2000 270DA has all the options I want and more. I have a lot of questions,...

What should I be looking for and asking when I go look at this on Sat? (fresh water used)
Anyone know what kind of fuel usage we can expect to get out of the 7.4 VS 350mag? We typically would cruise in our old boat around 21mph, I know you can't compare the two but what kinda fuel burn should I see with the 7.4? I am not interested in reaching tremendous speeds just like to reach our destinations slowly and enjoy the views.
Can I trailer it? (2 times a year) short distance? Is the 9' 2" beam too wide for a trailer and would I need a permit?
Thanks in advance for any advice, I have a ton more questions,....

I bought one last jan. And am pretty familiar with the boat. The boat is known for water intrusions under the garbage can on the first step down into the cabin. I searched for a year and couldnt find the source. Also check around all windows for moisture. The sliding door tracks are also known to go bad and its a big big job to replace them. Removal of helm is required. Check bravo 3 drive for corrosion. Being in fresh water shouldn't be a problem. I hink of more before sat and post as for fuel I was getting around 12 gph at 25mph at 3200 rpm. I had 4blade props with a 20pit ch installed a must I think for that boat

Also make sure you check the bellows, trim and limit sensor on the outdrive. There at about the age to go and although the parts are fairley cheap the labor is alot. I had it put in my contract and knocked about 2k off the boat. If you have any specific questions on th boat pm I know pretty much all the ins and outs of the boat.best of luck

That's one of the year I'm looking to buy too ('98-'00). What's the pricing details? There's none listed in my area.

Too bad you guys aren't closer to me. Unfortunately, it looks like mine is going up for sale. I need to do it. Just can't bring myself to do it.:smt089

Your water intrusion is from a plastic check valve behind the frig for the stovetop gas chamber through hull . It broke of on mine and when in heavy seas or washing water comes in
