It was a tuff decision but since our family grew by one more this past August we knew we would need more room out on the water. Our 280 was great to us. We got five relatively trouble free summers. I was second guessing the decision right up the the point where I had to sign the title over. So now we are on the hunt for the next family ride. We've been through most of the usual sites and starting to view the local boats. Some decent ones out there but not the one that works for us yet. Overall we are looking for a 2005 or newer 340 or 360. There seems to be plenty of 340s out there so it's just a matter of windshield time before we find the right one. The 360s are a little harder to come by. Therefore, if anyone is getting ready to sell or knows of nice clean boat of this vintage with low hours (150 to 350 hrs) on or close to Long Island, please let me know. I perfect to deal directly with the seller but will deal with brokers.

Thanks
Tim

Those are nice boats but the logistic would be a bit much. If I don't find something locally by spring then I will consider looking farther out.

Have you looked into a trade-in? Your 280 is highly marketable and easier to move for a dealer. Consider the discount on the sales tax to offset the lower price you'll get on a trade.

I looked at 340s and 360s prior to buying this boat and really appreciated the extra room of the 380, in the cabin and in the engine room. Good luck to you!

I sold my 280 so now I'm boatless. Feels strange.....We looked at a 380 last weekend. I do like the room in the engine compartment. Overall, it seem a little too much boat for my OCD cleaning habits. I also picture my wife loading the boat up with everything she wants to get out of the house. The 340 would fit us well but I do like the yacht touches on the 360 like the stainlesssteel windshield.

The SS windshield was an option on the 340. I have it on mine.

I hope you find your perfect boat! I will say, the additional width of a 360 is huge, for multiple reasons. First and foremost is docking, plus, actually being able to stand between the two motors to work on them is huge. Good luck!
