Hi all -
New to the site. Ex-SeaRay owner from the 90's (185 Sport). Did the skiing/tubing thing. Family grew up. Now looking to move up to a 260/280 and just cruise/overnight the Puget Sound area.
Looking for good dry stack and transient moorage on Lake Union. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thoughts on 260 vs. 280. How would these do in the rough waters of the Sound?
Thanks!

Hey 2nd Chance
Welcome. I live in Marysville, work in Seattle and just bought a 260DA. There are a couple dry stacks on Lake union. One near the locks (Jacobsen's) and the New one on Northlake way next to(north) the Sunnysdie boat launch.

We frequently cruise the San Jaun's and have a big CSR cruise planned this Summer.
We'll have to chat more.

bought a 280DA in April, we are in the Everett Marina. You ask if the 260 or 280 can handle our waters. I believe that they are both perfect for our waters. You still of course have to watch the forecast. This is the current marine forecast:pZZ135-230000-

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...
TODAY...S WIND 10 TO 15 KT...RISING TO 15 TO 25 KT LATE THIS MORNING...SWITCHING TO THE SW IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES BUILDING 1 TO 4 FT. RAIN.

TONIGHT...SW WIND 10 TO 20 KT...EASING TO 10 KT AFTER MIDNIGHT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. CHANCE OF SHOWERS THROUGH THE NIGHT.

SUN...S WIND 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. RAIN IN THE MORNING...THEN SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON.

SUN NIGHT...S WIND 10 TO 15 KT...BECOMING SW AFTER MIDNIGHT. WIND WAVES 1 OR 2 FT.

I would avoid the 1 to 4 ft but would have little problems starting tonight with the 1 -3.

We cruise all over the Sound and the San Juan's. Good luck in your decision.
