Looking for a used camper top

Hi All! I am looking for a used camper top for a 1986 SeaRay 270 Sundancer. Would anyone know where I could possibly find one, or maybe a website? Just put an engine in my boat, and the canvas got damaged in a storm the other day. Thanks!

I really hate to break it to you, but I doubt you're going to find a decent used top for an 86. Maybe a try of,Great Lake Boat Tops will give you an idea.

Find a canvas guy that you can trust, Going to cost you but it will work as it should. I highly doubt you would want to use anything from 86 if you did find it. But I guess you never know, Maybe somebody has one in the attic from when their boat was new???

speaking of which, my Bimini tops are all used up very well, one of them is torn. But the enclosure set up (camper enclosure) is brand spanking new .

That wouldn't happen for a top though . And, mine is 2002. Hehehe.

Check with your insurance, if it was storm damaged they may cover repair or replacement?

A dock neighbor just finished a similar project - he found a suitable frame set up at a marine consignment store and ended up installing the frame himself and then just had the "canvas lady" come and fabricate the actual canvas - he only had the "top" done and has not put any sides or back on it....he's into it for about a grand...

Any insrance co that would replace a 25 year old canvas from "storm damage" should have their head examined.

The one on my 300 lasted twelve years, I put a down payment on a new camper top today, $3800.00 no bars. I could have saved the top canvas and just put new side windows but there was no savings as the labor to match new sides with an old top would have pushed the price higher.

It goes in the first week of June for 5 days, can't wait to see the new top.

Insurance will cover the price of the top if you have insurance, I don't think it would be the original top they seem to last 10 to 15 years.
