Looking for a Sea Ray

Hello. New to forum here. I am looking for a 24 - 26 foot sundeck or signature select bowrider. I have found a 2000 26 ft sig select with 280 hours w/ the 310hp big block. They want $27,000 w/o trailer. The pictures look like the boat is in great condition for its age. It is at a Sea Ray dealer about 2 hours away. The local Sea Ray dealer says it is a great deal but I am looking for some suggestions. I am hesitant to purchase a boat as old with these hours at this price. Any suggestions appreciated. Hi, sounds like a reasonable deal. You should look around some boat sales websites. You did not mention if this is your first boat...? If so, I would definitely suggest going with a 240 Sundeck. Our first boat was a 220 Sundeck, which handled excellently and was extremely quick (with the standard 260hp engine). It had some great features for a deck boat (front ladder to name one). We have since upgraded to a brand new 270 Select, but the Sundeck was certainly the right boat to start with. We couldn't have picked a smarter place to start. The large bow area makes for easy accessibility during docking/anchoring/mooring. I am not sure of your price range, but would recommend a bit newer than 2000. Maybe 02-05? I'm sure you can find some great deals around $30,000-$35,000(tops). Good luck, and make sure you have a recommended boat surveyor to inspect your choice before you purchase it. :smt024
