I belong to a local "cruise" club where we trailer our 24' to 31' boats to different events across Florida.

We are planning a New Year's Weekend Cruise to Bahia Mar in Ft Lauderdale, and need a good ramp to both launch our boats, and to safely store (for several days) our trailers & rigs. Boward County is out since they limit storage to 48 hours, and most of their sites do not have parking spots big enough for our triple axle trailers.

We don't mind cruising a few miles to get from the ramp to Bahia Mar. We found one ramp in Stuart, but that is a bit further than we would want to cruise for an afternoon. We were hoping to find a good site in West Palm Beach or Boynton Beach or Boca Raton.

Looking for a good recommendation. Can anyone help????

If anyone is interested in spending the weekend with us, drop me a note. We'd love to have you join the group!

Thanks!!!!

There is a ramp in the Ft. Lauderdale area, look at Harbortown Marina in Dania. They have storage across the street and that is where some of the people we go with to Bimini store their trailers for the week. We don't trailer so don't know anything about the ramp or storage but thought I would pass this along to you.

Check with Lake Worth and Boynton Beach. I think you are good there. I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale and I think you can do George English Park at Sunrise Blvd and Middle River Drive...make sure you can clear the bridge at Sunrise...it's fixed.

City of Pompano Beach at 14th street has a credit card deal and I have heard you can multi day there...worth a phone call.

Thanks for the lead!!!! The 14th street ramp (alsdorf park) looks very promising. Has anyone seen a rig with a three axle trailer fitting in the parking spots?

I was hoping to find a good ramp between Boca and West Palm. Any more suggestions?

Thanks again!

It will fit...30' + Cigarettes launch there regularly. This place has a huge lot.

If you look at google Earth you can see it at the NW corner of the ICW and 14th street in Pompano....the first bridge south of Hillsboro Inlet.
