Looking for a trailer for my 2004 340DA.
Looking to buy.
Another CSR member, Mike Sandor , bought a new trailer for his 320DA last spring. I'm sure he'd share info of his trailer hunt. http://clubsearay.com/index.php?members/mike-sandor.45196/
Please keep me posted on what you find out. Thanks!
So I did receive a quote from LM Trailers for $12K + Tax. The ROI is just not there at that price point. Will keep an eye out for a used one and pay the haul out fee for now.
The model 360R716OBR is:
Constructed out of an 8" C-Channel steel frame with a 3" bridge fabrication on top
Equipped with three 7,000 lb. drop center axles
16" load range E radial, silver tires
GVWR of 22,050 lbs. with a Net Payload of 19,139 lbs.
All Wheel Electric Drum brakes (fully submersible)
All sealed and submersible LED lights and connection
Heavy Drop Leg Tongue Jack
Which stand with two speed manual winch and 3” nylon strap
Custom painted any color you would like (red, white and blue have a slight surcharge)
Safety Brakeaway system
Bunk set up specifically for the hull
Axles placed to the boat's center of gravity
Openback end configuration for your Inboard motors
Two Piece Bow Stop to prevent the anchor/pulpit from getting held up on the winch stand
If you can do it that's awesome..Can I ask why??? Haul in and out's for me are $350 each and it's not as easy as just driving it on the trailer from what I see. It's an oversize load and you would need permits. At $700 a season you break even after 18 years! Do you think you'll own the boat that long?
Ya! Call "Metal Craft Trailers" At 801-487-7586 in Salt Lake City UT. There 4 Axle and $16K, Half down and 6 Weeks Delivery
Just about a year ago I bought the same trailer you have spec’d. Minus the electric winch. You are not going to move that boat once she is settled on the bunks so I settled on a hand winch. I am fortunate as our launch ramp allows me to float the boat all the way to the bow stop. A hair over ten grand all in. LM was very easy to work with. The trailer is built like a tank and tows very well.
I was back and forth on the purchase as well. The quoted price of 5000 grand to move the boat from Lake Ozark to Lake Superior sealed the deal for me. I also store the boat on the trailer so I do not pay storage fees at my marina. I enjoy the ability to pull our boat for occasion maintenance thru out the season.
The other question I had to deal with was the tow vehicle but that discussion is for another thread!
Woody, the ice is turning a pretty blue, won’t be long now!!
I was reading though this post, and want to know if LM Trailers is Load Master.
If not, what is it then?
When living in CO, the lake had no lifts - so we had to be able to pull our boats out on a trailer - and store them on a trailer. I had a custom trailer built for my 370DA, worked great and it was really nice having a trailer. Bottom job, no problem...changing out a transducer...no problem.....new props, piece of cake...etc etc etc...
