Ahoy!

Most of the time when I log out these days, it doesn't SEEM to have taken affect. Username/avatar still shows in the activity bar, etc. Attempting to log out again results in an "Ooops!" message, though. (I can screenshot that, if helpful.)

If I leave the site and then return, I'm not logged in... so it appears the first log-out attempt is actually working...

FYI, issue is persisting...

This is display AFTER doing as Log-out, AFTER noticing it looks like I'm still signed in... and then immediately AFTER trying to Log out again.

If I close the browser tab or the whole browser and revisit the site, sometimes it looks like legitimately I'm logged out. Sometimes, not so much...

If you hit "Shift-Ctrl-J" when this error pops up, do you see any red errors on that panel below?

These two Shift-Ctrl-J pics may show errors.

First is immediately after logging out, before trying REALLY log out (i.e., while it showed me as being still logged in):

Second is after the "Ooops" message after trying to REALLY log out:

Left the browser, opened a new Chrome iteration, came to the site, still showed me as logged in. Did that a couple times.

Came to the site via Edge, showed me logged out. After that, I came to the site in another Chrome iteration, finally showed me as logged out.

Same basic thing happens on our ship's laptop via Chrome, too; just happened to check/notice today...

The new site also does this for me as well. This screen shot is after logging out and closing all browser windows. Couldn't log back in until I closed all windows again opened new and went to another site, then came back and I could then log on.

So I can definitely replicate this. This isn't a permanent fix but if this happens for you, hit Ctrl-F5, it will hard refresh and should act normally as if you're logged out.

I'm reaching out for help with the issue as there was caching enabled on the site which I feel might be messing with this.

Ctrl-F5 doesn't do squat. Tried it a few times, nothing.

Same here, the only thing that get's around this is closing all browser windows, opening a new session and going to another site first. Then go back to CSR and it will work.

Still tracking this down...

Can you try this:

Log out, click a new page from the one you're on. Example: if you're on the forum home, click logout, then click what's new or members tab in the navigation. Does it show login / register instead of your user account on those pages?

If I log out, then click on members it does show Log On.

I logged out (one of the times when it didn't then immediately show me as logged out) and then I clicked What's New. That gave me a Log On page.

Thank you guys! Sounds like it's some sort of caching issue. I mainly handle the style aspect of things, but I'm reaching out for help. Sorry for the trouble.

FYI, it happens with Chrome on an Android device too...

And it happens with Chrome on a different laptop, too...
