This is my first attempt in summerizing the boat myself. I've been doing good and following everyones advice but now am stuck! I cannot locate/ find where the blue (4 of them) water plugs screw back into. I have checked the owners manuel with no results and my a.d.d. has kicked in and I'm tired of searching the web for an engine owners manuel (which I don't have). The boat is a 99 sea ray210 sd 5.0 mercruiser alpha drive. Can any of you point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

1st, welcome to the board.

Second you should see at least 1 hole right at the top in the front of the motor with nothing in it, that's where the 1st hole is. I will take a picture of my motor tomorrow and hopefully you should be able to see where the blue plugs go. :smt024

Now for the really great question. What possessed you to pull out the blue plugs? You're supposed to put them back in after draining the water.

I didn't winterize it, I had a local marina do it. I called and asked them why they didn't put them back in and more importantly where they go. They said they keep them out so absolutely no water condenses and Instead of telling me where they go they asked me to bring it for summerization. Thats when I decided to do it myself. (having seconds thoughts now  )

How did you obtain that diagram? I would like the same for a 5.7 MAG MPI non DTS.

Thanks,

Esteban

Don't feel badly... I only had 2 to put back in and it took the longest darn time to find the second lower one! ( even using the diagram in the manual) Frankly I'm glad to hear it wasn't just me!

And welcome to the board!
