Hi :

I have a 2001 460DA (Hull 541, Made in Palm Bay) with hard top. I also have the optional windshield washers.

These washers have developed an issue where the pressure is low and will not shut off when the switch is thrown. Once activated the pumps keep shooting water to the nozzels until I shut off the water pumps and relieve line pressure at the galley. I suspect I'll need to replace the valve, BUT can't find it.:smt100

I note there are two components in this system that I can not find as shown in the 2001 parts manual.

There is discussed on page 66 Figs No. 8 & 19 "Brass Water Shut Off 12v." and a connector

This should lead to a rocker switch at the helm. Please give me a good idea as to where this solenoid valve is located as I haven't been able to find it. I've searched for the obvious places in the Aft head vanity. Any help would be appreciated.:smt101

On my 380DA and on 410DA the solenoid is behind the cockpit fridge/icemaker. Have someone hit the washer button on the dash while you listen in that area for a 'clicking'

On mine it is under the floor by the sump box, look up and to the starboard side. Bob

On my 380 it's above the cockpit sink (port side) in the void covered by the vinyl trim at the point below where the arch attaches. Found by accident when installing cockpit TV - thought it is a strange location.

Same Same Doozie, thansk so much. I would never have found that rascal! Screwed up to the underside of the salon floor board under the reclining chair. I can see it and I can feel it, I just can't get to it to remove it. Munchkin needed!

BUT I can rap it with a hammer and maybe that will free it up! Sucka opens but won't close.

Aghhhhh! BULDING A BOAT UPSIDE DOWN AND INSIDE OUT IS GREAT FOR THE FACTORY APES, BUT MAN IT IS UNFRIENDLY TO THE CONSUMER WHO HAS TO MAINTAIN THE VESSEL!
