Does anyone know of a local Raymarine certified tech that can come out to my boat and set up SeaTalk? I'm a network engineer and I still don't understand what I need and what the steps are. I have an E120 and need help. I found someone local to Richmond, VA but the phone is disconnected and no other numbers are listed. Anyone else know of one?

What are you trying to do? Do you need the E120 manual?
(assuming you may want to DIY)

Did you call the Raymarine's tech line (603) 881-5200...?
I have had both very helpful and not so helpful info from their techs.

Before you call have all equipment numbers your trying to wire handy.
These guys will know right away what wire go's where....and their in the US.

If you want to try it yourself,I did and when I had a problem I just called Raymarine's 800 number and they gave me the answers I needed.

Yes, I've spoke to them before, and they guided me in the right direction. The biggest disconnect was if my engines would support such a project. I was hoping to have someone physically come out and perform the installation, I just don't have the time.

If you don't have the time, that's one thing.... But as one networking guy to another, Sea Talk is super easy.... Is it Sea Talk or Sea Talk ng? Anyway RM is very helpful and they may know someone local to you.

I'm sure it's pretty easy to set up, but it's not as easy as one cord from the engine to the Raymarine MFD.

I've bought 3 parts already, here's the part numbers:

- Raymarine SeaTalk Ng Starter Kit T70134
- Raymarine Adapter Cable A06061
- Raymarine Devicenet Female Adapter cable A06045

I guess I just don't have a clue where on the engine it goes in?! I also haven't got down in my bilge yet.

No, I assumed that BOE marine isn't local. Are they local to the Richmond/Tri-Cities, VA area?

They are based out of MD eastern shore not far from annapolis / kent narrows and also NJ... BUT... If they dont come down your way, they may know a reputable installer nearby through their network of contacts. Just a thought.

Great people to work with

I've spoke to them before, they don't support my area and they said they wouldn't make the trip.

I'm doing the install this weekend, I finally have all the pieces to get this completed. Ready for the total price? might want to sit down... $837.28. That's parts from 2 different places, eBay, and here: http://www.veradoclubparts.com/

I guess if you really want to see what your engines are doing on your MFD, it's going to cost... a lot!

Okay, i got everything setup correctly, and it is working.. just need to figure out why the fuel data isn't showing. Basically it shows the fuel rate, but not the total amount of fuel in each tank. I hooked everything up before I ran the cables to make them pretty and ran the engines, everything worked well (except the fuel issue). Then I ran everything pretty closed everything back up, turned the engines on, and now my starboard engine just turns and turns.. quick beep about 2-3 seconds after I start cranking.. never starts. I have a feeling that I knocked a wire loose or something when I was running the cables to the engine. Annoying.

Jay, there is a tech in Deltaville. I found it on the Raymarine web site
