I have seen several good maps of Lake Norman and decided to cobble several together into this! I have navigational markers, marinas, restaurants, launch areas and just general fun areas on the lake. I have confirmed a few (buyer beware)! I do plan to confirm most locations. Hope this is helpful to someone. It is for me!

Enjoy!

I've become a fan of Activecaptain - I just looked and many points for Lake Normand are already in their database (which means someone like yourself have already provided data for the area). There is a process for adding points (anchorage, marina, points of interest, hazards) that might be missing - might be best to add to their database for a broader user group. www.activecaptain.com

thanks for all the suggestions on POI's.......i now have them all loaded into my Navionics smart phone app......i use it to navigate the new-to-us lake...works great and saved me several hundred $$ by not having to buy a marine GPS/plotter.....

I do like Active Captain and have played with it through Navonics (free). I mainly put ths together so that I could use my lunch hour to daydream and plan the next outing through google maps. Thanks for the feedback and let me know if I have missed anything.

The address for Peninsula Yacht Club is incorrect. It's on Harbor Light Blvd

For places further North on the lake. Food Midway Boathouse Grill, River City Grill, and Grilles Sports Bar. Each of these is located at the 150 bridge. There are also marinas at Midway and River City for fuel and pump outs.

Across the entrance from State Park on the west side of the lake there is a no name cove great for anchoring. It also has a rope swing. We named it Wine Down Cove for our boating friends.
