LKN: How may of us out there?

I currently use my boat on Lake Wylie, but am moving soon to the Lake Norman area. I have already found a slip in Cornelous, at Water Sreet Seaport. Eventually I'll figure out the lake as I know Wylie. I'm looking forward to the many more restraunts and facilities on Norman.

The Lake this weekend was great. Went to a lake house party and docked the boat at the house docks. They had electrical hook ups and all. It was nice to be able to drink as much as I wanted knowing I could pass out on the boat, and not be drinking and driving.
My boat is small compared to most but I found every where I went, I had a train of bowriders running in my wake. I guess I was breaking the chop for them.
I ran from Cornelous up to Stumpy Creek access area, took 45 mins at 25 mph cruise. The lake reminds me alittle of the ocean because there is always a chop from all the boats running around. I like it, but then I miss the ocean so bad.lol. Mike

Islandhopper and land shark3:

We will have to try to hook up. I have 2 boats on the lake. One down in Cornelius (320 Dancer) and the other up at my community dock (19ft Boston Whaler) around marker 8. We are out all the time and have a pretty good crew.

I'm game for that. My boat is at the dealership right now though. Getting the fuel tank strapped back down. I'll be needing a cruising guide to LKN. I don't want to come off like a singles commercial but I'm single and my crew is sometimes just me. I'll be new to the area soon. Leaving behind my LKW crew, but I'm sure they'll visit! Looking forward to meeting new friends. Mike

Plenty of good places to hang out; send me a PM with you plan to be back on the H2O.

If things work out, this weekend. I'll drop you a note when I do. Another senerio is I head to the beach and fish and bum around! Lets see, beach...boat...beach...boat, that's a tough one. Mike

It's looking like boat wins. I'll be on the lake this weekend. I'm going to roam around and find some good anchor up spots, and beaching island, and whatever else I come accross. Mike

Sorry for the delay, just got back in town from 2-weeks on the road. My boat is headed to the dealer this weekend for the 100 hour service. Hopefully, I'll be back on the water next week!

I love going out onto Lake Norman. The weekend are sometimes crowded, but the weekdays are the best!

Hey Andy, I just realized your boat is at Westport Marina. I was just down at the docks and noticed your boat in a wet slip. I keep mine there in a dry stack. I have a wet slip in Cornelous at Waterstreet sea port also. I think I'm going to let my wet slip go next year though. My boat doesn't have bottom paint.

Actually, I keep it at PYC. Westport was working on it. Had some repairs to be done, got it back on x-mass eve. Just like new. We were out on New Years Day with a few die-hards. We had 6 cruisers tied up. We are after all, highly trained professionals. If the weather holds we will be out Sat.

PYC, I hear ya! Nice club.
I'm pretty good friends with the mercury techs there at Westport. The guy who did your boat is a great guy, knows his way around a boat well. He's rebuilding his Trojan (cc) into a flybridge. He's not afraid to tackle anything boat related. Did you happen to meet him. His name is Bob Mungall.
New Years day didn't even begin for me untill after 2pm! New Years Eve bash untill 3'o clock in the morning. Your a die hard for sure. My boat is winterized for the season and it's killing me. I need to bottom paint and bilge heat so I can boat all year. Enjoy Mike P.

Just took The last slip at Kings Point Saturday. May 23. was going to get it wet today but the rain beat me to it! :smt013

Hello,
We moved to Fayetteville recently. We've been to Jordan lake and liked it. Is this lake similar? Is anyone planning any get togethers?

i have been boating on LKN for the past couple years. i am finally taking the plunge and getting into my first cruiser. 2002 280DA.

looking forward to some tie ups and overnights on the water!!

Most of our work is on Lake Norman so we keep a 28' pontoon work boat at Kingspoint Marina. Great people and reasonable rates.

I wish Lake Wylie had the restaurants Lake Norman has. We keep our personal boat near T-Bones restaurant at River Hills Marina. River Hills is 25 minutes from our house.

i am headed to the lake this weekend. looks like nice weather for saturday, is anyone else planning on being out?

Mine still buttoned up for the winter. I may go down and look her tho'. I'm having withdrawals.
