Linear Actuator for Hatch Lift

I know that I am resurrecting this thread from dead, but i was curious if those actuators from Progressive Automations actually worked?

I just got done installing two 400lb lifts thinking that was more than enough oomph for my 40 Sundancer (same boat as your 390) and they will not lift the hatch.

I cant find any specs on the original Acculift units, so im not sure what force is required.

Thanks for the reply if you happen to see this!
I am about to change my actuators out. Has anyone looked into converting them to hydraulic instead of gear driven?

In a week I will be challenging my 2 actuators as they are doing weird noises going up... did you remove the piston from the mechanism and do you have pictures? any trick to desassemble the screw from the inside of the piston?
thanks in advance

I didn’t disassemble it. Once I got it open and clean (and cleaned up the contacts on the wires) it worked fine.

It looks like I have the same actuator for my 1999 38' Searay, hatch won't go up or down what is the make model of the actuator? Did you replace yours with the same one? Where did you buy it?

Google “concentric linear actuator”. Call them up. They were very helpful for me. I bought an actuator that 2as more powerful and they changed the gearing so it was twice as fast. Reasonably priced also.
